Abstract : A brief review of literature related to some of the methods adopted for extending the postharvest life of mango fruits is presented under the following headings: harvesting techniques, grading, wax coating and fungicidal treatments, packaging materials, precooling, storage in cool chamber, storage in cool store and controlled atmosphere storage.
