Abstract : These proceedings contain 47 papers presented in the oral presentation and 33 papers presented in the poster presentation of the conference. Various topics are covered, including screening antagonistic microorganisms to control disease on mangoes; responses to soil preparation and irrigation timing of mung bean grown on clay loam soil; comparison of progeny and testcross performance methods of inbred and hybrid development in maize; comparative study on photosynthetic electron transport in isolated chloroplast of spinach and some other plants; optimum spacing for cassava cultivars; effects of chicken manure, gypsum and chemical fertilizer on root yield and starch content of cassava; vigour test results for the prediction of field emergence for sweetcorn; use of pollen for the transfer of drought tolerance gene in maize; plant regeneration from cell suspension culture of rice cultivars; boron in leaf and petiole with boron deficiency in different soils; and effects of extracts of mangosteen peels and rambutan seeds on toxicity, esterase and glutathione transferase in rice weevils.
