Abstract : A study was conducted during 1994-95 and 1995-96 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, to investigate the effect of foliar spraying of micronutrients, i.e. ZnSO4 (0.4%), FeSO4 (0.4%), MnSO4 (0.2%) and H3BO3 (0.2%), alone and in combinations, on flowering, fruiting and yield of mango cv. Mallika. The micronutrients were sprayed 3 times, i.e. at the time of panicle emergence, pea stage and fruit development stage. The trees under the control were sprayed with tap water. Observations were recorded for panicle length, number of primary branches per panicle, initial fruit set, total fruit retention, yield and pedicellar strength. The spray of micronutrients was found responsive in increasing the flowering, fruiting and yield of mango.
