Abstract : This book is divided into 2 sections comprising 10 chapters. The first section, comprising 7 chapters, covers general background information, methodologies and validated integrated pest management (IPM) modules for different crops/cropping systems, i.e. cotton, rice-wheat, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, mango and apple. The second section, comprising 3 chapters, deals with the sources of IPM inputs and decision-support system. Each chapter details the origin of work in the respective area, key pest problems and the environmental conditions favouring them, IPM modules devised for various locations supplemented with socio-economic impact of such validation trials. In addition, 8 annexures provide information on chemical pesticides and data sheets for baseline information and impact assessment and acronyms/abbreviations. This book is intended for use as a resource by researchers, trainers, extension personnel, farmers and all other concerned with research and development of IPM.
