Abstract : An experiment was conducted during 29 January-27 February 2000 and 2001 in Uttaranchal, India, to study the population dynamics of mango hopper, Amritodus atkinsoni, on mango cv. Langra and its relationship with temperature, humidity, rain, sunshine hours and wind velocity. A. atkinsoni population was lowest during the first week of February 2000 and 2001. The population gradually increased from March and reached its peak during April 2000 and 2001, then later decreased. A. atkinsoni population was positively significant with maximum, minimum and mean temperature, and negatively significant with maximum, minimum and mean relative humidity. On the other hand, there was no significant relationship with rain, sunshine and wind velocity.
