Abstract : Thirty leaves from 20-year-old trees of mango cultivars Dashehari, Langra and Bombay Green were randomly collected. The leaf area (LA) was measured with a portable leaf area meter. Different characters (leaf length (L), breadth (B), fresh weight (FW) and dry weight (DW)) were used to calculate the leaf area for a particular cultivar by applying multiple linear regression and these characters were fitted into the regression equation. Different curve models were fitted for the estimation of LA in mango using L and B as independent factors. A total of 4 regression equations were fitted to determine the best mode for LA estimation in each cultivar. Among the characters (L, B, FW and DW), L and B were the most suitable for determining LA.
