Abstract : This annual report contains an overview of the studies conducted by the Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture on crop improvement (germplasm collection, molecular characterization, hybridization, and selection); crop production (planting density, micropropagation, soil-plant-water relationship, insect pollinators, and economics); and crop protection studies (insect pests, plant diseases and postharvest diseases) on mango, guava, pawpaws, litchi, banana, aonla, bael, and jamun. Studies on postharvest management (packaging, storage, processing, and pesticide residue analysis) are also presented.
