Effect of various concentrations of zinc on vegetative growth characters, flowering, fruiting and physico-chemical composition of fruits in mango (Mangifera indica L.) cultivar Chausa.

Abstract : Spraying mango trees with zinc sulphate at 0.2-0.8% during January increased terminal shoot length, leaf numbers and leaf area/shoot, the number of hermaphrodite flowers/panicle and yields. Fruit sugars, ascorbic acid and TSS contents were also enhanced. The best results were obtained with the highest application rate.
