Abstract : High soil salinity levels adversely affected tree growth and nutrient balance. Of the cvs studied, Langra was the most and Dasheri the least susceptible to salinity. Leaf injury increased with salt concentration and at 10 mmhos/cm almost all the leaves were injured. Seedling mortality began at 4 mmhos/cm. NaCl was more injurious than Na2SO4.
