Effect of Plumbago indica Linn. extract on quality of mango fruit after postharvest treatment.

Abstract : Mango cv. Nam Dok Mai fruits were dipped in 2750 and 5500 ppm of P. indica plant extracts for 5 or 10 minutes and stored at 13°C for 12 days before transferring them in room temperature. The plant extract had no significant effects on the pulp colour and texture, but reduced the total soluble solid content of the fruits. Lesion size in mango fruits was smallest with 2750 ppm P. indica treatment.
