Abstract : Recommendations are given for the nutrition of mango in northeast Brazil. The main soils used for mango cultivation are described. Notes are given on the effects and functions of the main nutrients. Extraction and export of nutrients by mango plants are discussed. The utilization of soil and leaf analysis and the interpretation of results to determine soil and plant status are considered. Recommendations are given for the use of lime, organic and mineral fertilizers. Calculation of fertigation levels for a soil of medium texture is included.
