Abstract : Spraying with ethephon at 200-2000 p.p.m. advanced the flowering of Langra mango in the on year by 15-20 days. The higher rates caused heavy leaf abscission. During the off year treatment with 200 p.p.m. ethephon induced early, heavy and abnormal flowering whereas untreated trees did not flower at all.
