Abstract : A study was carried out to improve farmer irrigation of mango trees (Zebda). The experiment involved three irrigation treatments, where the first and second were irrigated after the depletion of either 20% or 40% of the available water, respectively, but the third treatment (control) was left as practised in the farm. The new irrigation technologies were found to increase almost all aspects of fruit weight, volume, and dimensions compared with the traditional approach, as well as increasing pulp weight and decreasing fruit acidity. The traditional approach was characterised by excessive soil moisture content that lead to increased weed growth and induced early blooming.
