Abstract : Methods for altering the ripening seasons of Annona squamosa, loquats, mangoes, longans, guavas and Syzygium samarangense fruits are discussed in detail. The ripening season of A. squamosa can be altered by training and pruning; the trees can be made to bear fruits twice a year. Spraying with a high concentration solution of potassium and phosphorus can alter the ripening season for mango. Applying potassium chloride is an effective method for changing the ripening season for longans. Training, pruning, tipping and fruit thinning can alter the seasons for guava.
