Abstract : Potted mango cv. Aphonso seedlings were inoculated with Sclerocystis dussii, Glomus leptotichum, Acaulospora laevis, Glomus intraradices, Glomus bagyaraji, Glomus mosseae, Glomus fasciculatum, Glomus monosporum and Gigaspora margarita and subjected to water stress one month after transplanting in bigger polybags. Seedlings inoculated with Glomus fasciculatum and subjected to water stress recorded the highest number of days (40.25 days) before permanent wilting followed by seedlings inoculated with Gigaspora margarita (40.00 days). The highest chlorophyll content was recorded in seedlings inoculated with Gigaspora margarita followed by seedlings inoculated with Acaulospora laevis. Seedlings inoculated with Gigaspora margarita inoculated seedlings recorded the highest relative water content (2.02%) followed by seedlings inoculated with Acaulospora laevis and Glomus fasciculatum (1.99%). The least proline content 20 days after drought was noted in Gigaspora margarita-inoculated seedlings.
