Effect of pruning severities and paclobutrazol on bearing behaviour of rejuvenated mango trees cv. Dashehari.

Abstract : The effects of pruning (4 or 5 m) and paclobutrazol (12 and 16 ml) application on the bearing behaviour of mango cv. Dashehari trees were determined in a field experiment conducted in Lucknow, Uttar pradesh, India during 2002-03. Tree height, shoot length, shoot girth, internodal length, and fruit yield, weight and volume were highest, whereas panicle length, number of nodes per panicle, fruit drop and total soluble solid content were lowest with 5 m pruning.
