Abstract : The mango hoppers occurring on trunk, new flush and panicles of mango cv. Dashehari were collected in Sangareddy, Andhra Pradesh, India, and species identification was performed. The observations revealed the presence of three species of hoppers, Amritodus atkinsoni, Idioscopus niveosparsus and Idioscopus scutellatus. A. atkinsoni was the dominant species (98%) on trunk with very few population of I. niveosparsus (2%). Species collected from the new flush at reproductive stage indicated the presence of three species of hoppers, the dominant being I. niveosparsus (58%), followed by I. scutellatus (30%) and A. atkinsoni (12%). The occurrence of I. scutellatus on new flush and panicles was the first report from Andhra Pradesh.
