Abstract : Twelve mango cultivars (Ratna, Nagin, Amrapali, Hapus, Pairy, Langda, Neelum, Totapuri, Chausa, Keshar, Rajapuri and Dashehari) grown in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, during 1991-92 were evaluated for fruit yield and quality. Plant height and volume were greatest (6.03 m and 74.57 m3, respectively) in Langda. Keshar had the highest number of panicles per tree (146.33). Neelum had the longest panicles (37.0 cm) and the highest fruit yield per tree (1605.66 fruits and 127.44 kg). The number of hermaphrodite flowers per panicle was highest in Hapus (23.80%). Ratna (17.22) and Neelum (16.66) registered the highest sex ratios. Fruit set was most pronounced in Keshar (4.56%) and Neelum (4.13%). Rajapuri recorded the greatest fruit weight (394.0 g) and pulp weight (306.0 g). Fruit length (12.13 cm) was greatest in Totapuri. The highest TSS [total soluble solids] content (26.08%) was recorded for Chausa.
