Management of irrigation.

Abstract : Management of irrigation for mango cultivation was evaluated in the Sao Francisco Valley, Brazil. Principles for evaluation of the risk of water deficit are described. The optimum timing of application of irrigation is also analysed. It is concluded that irrigation of mango trees should be at 1 day intervals with drip irrigation and 2-3 day intervals with microspray irrigation.
