Syngenta programmes for the phytosanitary protection of mango and management of flowering induction with Cultar as a profit factor.

Abstract : Treatment programmes are outlined for the control of diseases and insect pests on mangoes in Brazil. The important principles of this strategy include planning, management of pest resistance, flexibility and fungicides. The main pest and disease species during different growth stages are described. Notes are also given on the management and induction of flowering using paclobutrazol (Cultar), with reference to the effects of temperature, gibberellin, cytokinin and ethylene.
