Abstract : This chapter discusses the requirements for successful storage of fruits such as apple, apricot, avocado, banana, blueberry, cantaloupe, carambola, cherimoya, sweet cherry, Barbados cherry, surinam, currant, cranberries, grapes, grapefruit, guavas, honeydew melon, Persian lime, mango, orange, nectarine, pawpaw, peaches, pears, pineapples, prune, strawberry and tomato; and vegetables such as asparagus, beans, beet, broccoli, cabbage, and Brussel's sprouts.
