Abstract : Mango mite (Oligonychus mangiferus) is an important pest of mango trees in China. It has around 27 generations a year. The female adult is 530 µm long and purple red in color. The male is 433 µm long and red in color. It mainly attacks the young leaves, making them gray-white in color and causing withering and leaf fall. The temperature of 24-28 °C is suitable for rapid spread. Die-off will occur in temperatures over 36°C. In practice, spraying a 750-1250x dilution of 20% dicofol or 2000-3000x solution of 2.5% PP321 [lambda-cyhalothrin] achieved effective control.
