Studies on the chemical composition of leaves as associated with position on the shoot in mango (Mangifera indica L.) cv. Dashehari.

Abstract : Leaf N, Ca and Mg contents increased, and P and K contents declined, from the base to the top of the shoots. Leaf sugars and starch contents showed no definite trend. Average values were found in the fourth and fifth leaves from the base and it is recommended that leaves for sampling should be taken from those positions.
