Abstract : The residues of chlorpyrifos and monocrotophos were determined in mango (cv. Dushehri) fruits from integrated pest management (IPM) and non-IPM trials. Samples of mango fruits were collected from IPM and non-IPM orchards located at Rehmankhera, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, during 2002-03. The residues of chlorpyrifos in mango pulp following IPM and non-IPM practices were 0.22 and 0.61 µg/g while the residues in mango peel were 0.20 and 0.59 µg/g, respectively. In whole mango fruits, chlorpyrifos residues were 0.45 and 1.33 µg/g in IPM and non-IPM samples, respectively. Residues of monocrotophos were below the detectable limit in all fruit samples. Chlorpyrifos residues were higher in non-IPM than IPM samples but below maximum residue limits in both cases.
