Abstract : Information is given on the occurrence and importance, symptoms, and epidemiology of mango anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Glomerella cingulata) and C. acutatum (G. acutata). Different strategies for field (including resistant cultivars, cultural control, chemical control and forecasting systems) and postharvest control (including hot water treatment, fungicide application, cold or modified atmosphere storage, biological control) are also discussed.
