Abstract : Mango anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata]) is a serious disease in the mango producing areas in China. The choice of resistant cultivars is one of the important measures to control the disease. This work aims to identify the resistance of the mango cultivars in the mango germplasm repository of Southern Subtropical Crops Research Institute. The results showed that the majority of the mango cultivars were susceptible to anthracnose. Among them, Irwin, Rumang, Haibao, Longjing, Damang were highly susceptible to anthracnose. Four highly resistant cultivars were also identified, i.e. Zhihua, Chun Hwang, Zhixuan No.4 and Spooner. Tainong No.1, Yuexi No.1, Taiya, Guifei, Mallika, Guixiang and Keitt were moderately resistant to anthracnose. None of the cultivars were immune to the disease.
