Abstract : This volume contains 55 papers presented at the conference on the various aspects of postharvest research on fruits and vegetables including: the effects of coatings, modified atmospheres and controlled atmospheres, the effects of postharvest chemical and biological treatments, and the effects of temperature and humidity in postharvest treatments on the quality and storage life of fruit and vegetable crops (e.g. Litchi chinensis, rambutans, chillies and mangoes), the currently available and future segregation technologies for fruits and vegetables in chains, and consumer experience, marketing, distribution systems and sales of fresh produce.
