Evaluation of performance of intercrops in mango orchards.

Abstract : A study was conducted at farmer's field in Beed district on light soil under rainfed condition to evaluate the performance of intercrops in mango orchards. The soybean sequenced with mustard intercropped in mango resulted the highest grain yield, maximum fruits plant-1 of mango(1800), maximum net monetary returns of Rs. 9313 ha-1 and the highest benefit:cost ratio of 2.56. The lowest values in all parameters were recorded in mango alone system.
