Abstract : The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of calcium on fruit quality of 'Haden' mangoes (Mangifera indica L.). Five foliar Ca(NO3)2 sprays were done every 15 days in preharvest. Three concentrations (0, 15, and 20 mg L-1) were tested. Fruits kept at 20±2°C and 74±4% H.R. showed statistical differences from effect of Ca in the variables respiration, total soluble solids, acidity, and weight loss. This was not the case for the variables firmness, acidity, colour index, and calcium content in fruit.
