Study on the tree training system for Tainong 1 mango cultivar.

Abstract : Experiment was conducted with newly planted trees of Tainong 1 mango cultivar with planted space of 5 m x 3 m. The training systems consisted of spindle form, vase form and natural round system. The tree growth status, production, fruit eating quality and resistance to white powdery disease were observed, measured and evaluated. Results showed the production of the spindle system was the highest, reaching 19.98 kg per tree in the third year after planted, but the fruit soluble solids content of the vase system was higher, the production increased fast, and the infected rate of white powdery disease was also lower.
