Abstract : Fruits of 11 cultivars (Baneshan, Bangalora, Mulgoa, Neelum, Swarnrekha, Alphonso, Kesar, Mankurad, Fernandin, Vanraj and Langra) were studied for their morphological characters and storage life at Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour (Bihar) during 1991-92 and 1992-93. Bigger fruits were observed in Bangalora (12.37 cm) followed by Baneshan (11.07 cm) while Neelum (6.95 cm) and Alphonso (2.82 cm) produced smaller ones. But broader fruits were observed in Mulgoa (8.53 cm) and Vanraj (8.26 cm). Fruit weight was also greater in Baneshan (330.22 g) and Bangalora (289.60 g). The ripe fruits of Bangalora, Alphonso and Kesar were found to be kept for 5 to 7 days after ripening. The fruit quality of Langra and Kesar were found to be very good whereas, pulp of Bangalora was found to be remain firm after ripening.
