Status of mango cultivation in Himachal Pradesh.

Abstract : This paper describes the current status of mango cultivation in Himachal Pradesh, India, with emphasis on area and distribution, varietal status, propagation, intercropping and harvesting maturity. Major problems associated with mango cultivation are also identified, such as alternate bearing, mango malformation, black tip, clustering, fruit drop, frost injury and insect pests and diseases. Future research prospects are outlined.
