Abstract : The present paper enumerates 12 medicinal plant species which are useful to cure various diseases. These 12 plants are used in the preparations of Ayurvedic medicine and are n the treatment of various diseases by the rural and common people of Rohta block of Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh, India. These plants are Abelmoschus esculentus, Acacia nilotica, Azadirachta indica, Bauhinia purpurea, Calotropis procera, Capsicum annum, Daucus carota, Mangifera indica, Ocimum sanctum [Ocimum tenuiflorum], Psidium guajava, Saccharum officinarum, Syzygium cumini.
