Abstract : Experiment was conducted with the young trees of Tainong 1 mango cultivar planted in 2002 with spacing of 3 m x 5 m. Three training systems were carried out: spindle system, applied a bamboo pole supporting the central leader to straight up to grow, trunk height of 50 cm, 10 branches on the central leader and made them horizontal growing; vase system, trunk height of 50 cm, without central leader, 5-6 large branches growing in 60-70 ° ; and round system, let branches naturally grow. In 2004 the production and fruit quality of 3 training systems were evaluated. Results showed the best training system was spindle, the production per tree was 19.98 kg (vase system 17.1 kg, round system 12.14 kg), fruit soluble solids content was 21.4% (but 1.2% lower than that of vase system).
