Abstract : Just ripe fruits of pomegranate, mango and guava were inoculated with A. niger and held at 10-33 plus or minus 2 deg C for 5, 10 and 15 days. At higher temps. the rate of decay was high in mango and pomegranate but growth of the pathogen in guava was retarded at 35 deg . Rot was prevented in all 3 fruits kept at 15 deg
