Influence of abiotic factors on the population fluctuation of mango bud mite, Aceria mangiferae (Sayed) in floral malformed panicle.

Abstract : Field experiments were conducted in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, during 1998 and 1999, to study the abundance of bud mite (Aceria mangiferae) populations in floral malformed panicles of Dashehari, Langra and Amrapalli mango cultivars. The highest population was recorded in the month of May and the lowest population was recorded in the months of March and June. A positive correlation was observed between population and temperature and a negative correlation was observed between population with rain and relative humidity.
