Effect of urea and growth substances on yield and quality of mango Cv. Langra.

Abstract : The present investigation was carried out during two consecutive years (2002 and 2003) in Bihar, India to find out the effect of urea and growth substances like NAA, Ethrel [ethephon] and Paclobutrazol on the yield and quality of mango Cv. Langra. Paclobutrazol at 7.5 g/tree applied as soil treatment produced the highest yield on both 'off' and 'on' years. Urea 2% + Ethrel 200 ppm was also found very beneficial. These treatments also improved quality significantly during both years of the study compared with the control.
