Abstract : Rosica arose in 1966 as a bud mutation of Rosado de Ica, a local variety, at Ica, Peru. It is early ripening and regularly produces high yields of good-quality fruit. It produces no dwarf seedless fruit and is the only local variety which is monoembryonic.
