Abstract : An experiment was conducted in Bihar, India, to study the flowering and fruiting behaviour of mango cultivars Amrapali, Mallika, Prabhashankar, Mahmud Bahar, Alfazli, Sunder Langra, Neelgoa, Neeluddin, Neelashan, Ratna, Arka Puneet, Arka Anmol and Langra (the control). Amrapali exhibited maximum panicle breadth, percentage of perfect flowers per panicle, percentage of pollen viability and fruit yield per plant. Prabhashankar had the earliest fruit maturity and lowest fruit drop percentage. Neeluddin showed earliest panicle emergence and panicle length. The earliest fruit set per panicle was observed for Neelgoa and Arka Anmol, while Neelashan had the highest number of flowers per panicle.
