Abstract : The seasonal prevalence of Scirtothrips dorsalis and Selenothrips rubrocinctus on flower buds, inflorescences and fruits of mango plants cultivated in greenhouses in Amami- Oshima Island in Japan. Scirtothrips dorsalis was regularly found on flower buds, inflorescences, and young fruits. The number of thrips on fruits decreased as the fruits matured. Selenothrips rubrocinctus was observed only on fruits, and the density of this pest increased with the growth of the fruits. Both pests were not detected on ripe fruits.
