Abstract : Data are presented on the leaf N, P, K, Ca and Mg contents of 17 mango cvs and 11 avocado cvs. Average leaf nutrient element contents of both crops were within the range recorded in the literature. Yields of all cvs were only about half those obtained in the central region of the country. The highest cropping mango cvs were Haden, Kent, Irwin, Sensation, Manga Criolla and Manzana, and the most productive avocado cvs were Pollock and Russell.
