Relational analysis of managerial ability of mango orchard growers.

Abstract : This study was conducted to: (i) measure the managerial ability of the mango orchard growers to carry out scientific cultivation; and (ii) explore the relational analysis of selected variables of mango orchard growers. Data were gathered from 200 mango orchard growers in Gujarat, India. It was found that 60% of the mango orchard growers have medium managerial ability. The important characteristics of mango orchard growers including education, adoption index, annual income, farm mechanization index, mango yield index, experience as a mango grower, attitude towards modern agriculture, risk orientation, training received, mass media exposure, had positive and significant correlation with their managerial abilities.
