Abstract : This whole issue is devoted to a detailed review of the work on tropical fruits (mango, pawpaw, guava, cashew, mangosteen and rambutan), subtropical fruits (passion fruit, avocado, date, litchi and Solanum quitoense) and some temperate fruits (grapevine, Actinidia chinensis, peach, plum, apple and strawberry) in francophone Africa and the French West Indies by the Institut de Recherches sur les Fruits et Agrumes during the last 5 years.
