Abstract : Mango cultivars were evaluated for resistance to D. marginatus under nursery conditions. Himsagar was the most susceptible to the pest. During August, the weevil induced the greatest damage on the tender leaves of mango by scaping and hampered the photosynthetic activities of the saplings. Bangalora was the least affected by the leaf cutting weevil. Among the other cultivars, this weevil also significantly damaged Langra, Ratna, Sorikhas and Subarna Rekha.
