Abstract : Two-year studies were made of the leaf and shoot alanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, gamma -aminobutyric acid and arginine + histidine contents of 4 mango cvs [see the preceding abstract.] Leaf and stem amino acid contents were usually highest in April and declined until October/November, after which they tended to increase. Amino acids contents were not, however, related to flowering intensity.
