Abstract : Field studies were conducted in Maharashtra, India, from 1995 to 1999, to develop methods to estimate the total CO2 absorption and its reduction from the atmosphere and its impact on the yield of mango cv. Alphanso trees. An absorption and reduction of the mass of CO2/tree/h were 211.83 and 58.71 g, respectively, from the atmosphere for Alphanso mango. Alphanso mango utilized 275.43 kg/tree/season CO2, while reduced CO2 76.323 kg/tree/season of 130 days from the atmosphere. The total nutrients utilized by Alphanso mango was approximately 16 kg/tree/season of 130 days.
