Abstract : An experiment was conducted during 2000/01 and 2001/02 on 12 mango cultivars in Sabour, Bihar, India, to select the cultivar with high yield potential and attractive fruit colour. A high value of fruit set per panicle was observed in Alphonso Poona (62.50) while it was minimum in Surkhverma (26.83). The specific gravity of the fruits did not show any significant difference and ranged from 1.037 to 1.069. The highest number of fruits per plant was recorded in Moovendun (412.00). Fruit weight (198.06 kg) and pulp weight (146.10 kg) was highest in Alphonso Bombai.
