Abstract : This chapter discusses the impact of photosynthesis and tree water relations on the growth and development of mango. The effects of environmental and crop-related factors on photosynthesis (light, leaf temperature, elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration, humidity, flooding and internal factors), tree growth and development (light, temperature, drought, flooding, wind, salinity, and elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration) and crop production (temperature limitations, light interception and orchard design) are covered.
