Abstract : The major postharvest diseases of mango and banana (Musa sapientum [M. paradisiaca]) include anthracnose, stem end rot, crown rot, black rot and banana black spot. Biological control plays an important role in the control of postharvest diseases. The advances in biological control of postharvest diseases in mango and banana are reviewed, including elicitors, plant extracts and antagonistic microorganisms.
