Abstract : Treatment of mature green fruit with ethylene at 100 p.p.m. at 25 deg C and 95% RH for 48 h shortened the period from picking until full colour development and led to a more uniform deep colour. Similar results were obtained with an ethephon dip at 5000 p.p.m.
